Information About Aaron - York teacher

Personal Description:

Hi, I'm Aaron!
I've been teaching music and piano for the past nine years, to a wide range of tutees. I specialise in Jazz, Classical, Pop, Improvisation, and SEN-accessible approaches to music education and participation.
I'm currently studying a PhD which combines all these things, and manage to squeeze in some performing in my spare time, too!

Tutoring Experience:

Over the past decade I have worked full-time as a private music tutor, led workshops in various SEN schools and universities, worked as a composer and tutor on a number of residential courses, taught music 1:1 in SEN schools and through Disabled Children's Services, and worked as an accompanist for Northern Dance Centre.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe Music Tuition should be accessible to all! I've worked extensively with pupils who have had ASD diagnoses, SEMH requirements, Schizophrenia, Mutism, Physical Disabilities, and many other conditions - it's been some of my most rewarding work.
I'm friendly, adaptable, and approachable, and I believe in giving pupils the confidence to discover what they can achieve, in whatever form that takes.
