Information About Shanice - Johannesburg tutor

Personal Description:

My name is Shanice and I am a college student, studying Business Management and soon after BCom Law. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, outdoor activities and taking on new challenges. I also like to help out and give back to the community by participating in volunteer work. In my free time I love to bake, cook, listen to music, play sports and travel. I am a very independent and do not rely on other people, but I also know how to work very well with other people.

Tutoring Experience:

In 2021, I was a primary school teacher. I taught leaners aged 4 - 6. Some of the things I would teach the leaners how to read, writing their names as well as write words [by tracing over dotted lines], counting, the alphabet, days of the week, etc.
Later that year [in 2021] after moving provinces, I started and am currently doing amanuensis. This is a program that helps children with learning disabilities. I would help them with reading, writing, sometimes help certain leaners with both and prompting.
I also have some amateur experience while I was in high school, helping my little cousins and other family members with their homework and preparing for tests.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach in Tutoring will be fun, memorable and educational. I will be using Q-Cards, examples, worksheets and basically anything I can find that will help benefit my leaners. Patience, kindness and friendliness will be my motive alongside with the aim of achieving leaners goals. I will try to make every lesson of mine creative, resourceful and practical.
