Personal Description:

Over a decade ago, I started my Afrikaans teaching journey at the aftercare center I owned. What started as a helping hand for homework quickly turned into a passion especially when I saw how much the kids’ Afrikaans marks shot up!

Then came 2020, and like many of us, I pivoted online during the pandemic and I’ve been tutoring virtually ever since! These days, I combine two of my favorite things: teaching and traveling. So whether I’m in a bustling city or a quiet beach town, I’m still connecting with students and helping them fall in love with Afrikaans.

I absolutely love working with kids and young people there’s something magical about watching them grow in confidence and skill. Teaching isn’t just what I do, it’s what I love to do.

Tutoring Experience:

I am an experienced Afrikaans tutor with over 10 years of teaching experience and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.

I offer personalised Afrikaans lessons tailored to each learner's individual needs, primarily focusing on school learners from Grade R to Grade 7. I also provide support for high school learners upon request.

I am a native Afrikaans speaker / Fluent in Afrikaans and English.

Can assist with Afrikaans as a First or Second Additional Language.

Tutoring Approach:

I teach all my lessons online via Google Meet, so students can join from anywhere, no traffic, no stress!

My approach is friendly, patient, supportive, and goal-oriented whether students need help with grammar, reading, writing, comprehension, or oral presentations.
