I am a psychologist and remedial specialist. I specialise in helping children and adults to overcome learning barriers and discover their true potential.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching and training students all my life. I am a qualified teacher with a degree in Maths. I work with all subjects up to Grade 10.
Tutoring Approach:
My teaching approach depends on the context. Where exam prep is concerned we work through exam papers and revisit the necessary theory. For younger learners, a much more practical approach is used with the learners learning for example calculations and mathematical concepts through interactive learning and fun games. Where professional remedial is needed, my approach involves the development of gross and fine motor coordination as well as perceptual stimulation to grow new neural pathways. Many kids who struggle with their subjects at school might experience an emotional challenge. Where necessary psychotherapy is offered.

Update 15 Oct: My son completed 8 hours of tuition with Rina and thoroughly enjoyed it. The session were mainly to help him catch up some Maths work. Rina helped him tremendously and he is even now commenting that the class work is easier to understand now that he is finished with the sessions with Rina. I will defintely recommend Rina as a tutor and will no doubt make use of her services again.
