Information About Oustin - Mamelodi tutor

Personal Description:

I am currently in my third year of my Actuarial Science degree at the University of Pretoria. I graduated from Pretoria Boys High and I have a passion to help people improve on the skill sets that will help them in the future. I am Taiwanese but I stayed in China for six years before I came to South Africa twelve years ago so I am also fluent in Mandarin. I have a diploma in Sports Science and I switched to Actuarial Science to challenge myself at the highest level.

Tutoring Experience:

I have done quite a few one-on-one private tutoring jobs at my clients' homes, and they are mostly Mathematics related. I have been tutoring Mathematics at Pro Arte High School in Pretoria for 2 years now so I do have a lot of experience tutoring people in a large group and individually.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to help students with their basic foundations before we get to the more complicated ideas as without a solid foundation, students will not be able to understand and absorb the more complicated issues hence they might fail to reach their true potential. I check up on my students' progress and make sure their marks and confidence about the subject improve as our sessions go on. I like to test my students using my own questions at times as opposed to using the textbook questions all the time as this will enhance the students' understanding of the topics. I am very professional and I am relatively strict when it comes to my students' discipline on our work.
