Personal Description:

Hello there! My name is Nyasha. I am passionate about languages and different cultures. I can help you with conversational English, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.
I can also assist in essay writing and Social Sciences for those in University.
In order to achieve the highest possible progress for each student, I strive to have an individualized approach to teaching.

I have travelled to 4 countries and hope to visit more. I love teaching and learning new things. In three words, I would describe myself as enthusiastic, driven, and committed. It's true in both my personal and professional lives.

Tutoring Experience:

In addition to my bachelor's degree, I have also acquired my teacher training and certification through the TEFL Professional Development Institute.

Over the years, I have acquired a varying set of skills through my academic and professional experience, most of which seem to align with teaching.
I was an English tutor for 3 years through a community development programme aiming to enhance children's and young adults' language skills.
My recent role was as a leadership development fellow. In this role, I assisted in training and facilitating teachers across the country. This resulted in the enhancement of their pedagogical, and digital skills, and professional growth. I have recently also been teaching English to students from Ukraine and Russia online.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching methodology/style is results-driven, in my opinion. My approach is to clearly define each student's goals since I usually work one-on-one with them. It is not what I want to achieve that matters, but what they want to achieve. Taking into account their current language level and personality type, I develop a detailed plan for the entire year, which includes milestones and tests so that we can regularly evaluate our progress. Afterwards, I select my teaching methods, adjusting them to the student's needs and goals.
