Personal Description:
My name is Nico (Nick le Rock). I love playing the guitar, and have been playing for 20 years. I also like teaching others to join in this wonderful world of music and express themselves with the guitar.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching guitar privately for nine years and have been teaching online, via Skype, for 14 months. I have a Performance diploma from Rockschool, a Grade 6 Music Theory Certificate from Rockschool and a Grade 5 Music Theory Certificate from ABRSM.
Tutoring Approach:
I have a relaxed, yet disciplined approach to tutoring. I also know that every student's needs are different, and cater each student's goals specifically to them. As an example, lessons for beginners will be more relaxed than lessons for students preparing for an exam. Every lesson consists of technical and theoretical teaching. Sometimes theoretical is music theory and sometimes it is technique based. Tuition is offered in English or Afrikaans.
