Information About Nabeelah - Claremont tutor

Personal Description:

Hi, I am 4th year Bcom (Accounting) student at the University of Cape Town. I've also done additional courses in economics and statistics until level 3. I represent South Africa for Touch Rugby and have participated in 2 World Cup's (in New Zealand and Scotland).

I am a very energetic, driven and enthusiastic individual. I am also realistic and stern when it comes to decision making. I support all views and opinions and always open to criticism.

I've always had a passion for teaching or at least being able to give back what I have learnt.I hope I am able to fulfill this passion by helping you.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored 2nd year economics at university level. I have also tutored accounting at high school level.

Tutoring Approach:

The main reason for failing is that you do not understand what is required of you. Also, the reason for failing the second time is that you do not understand the errors you have made the first time. Then, the reason you fail the third time is basically due to insufficient practice. My approach is to take the student through their thinking process so that they don't study "parrot fashion" but that they actually understand what they are learning by taking them through the process above: understand what is required of you, correct your errors and practice makes perfect.
