Information About Lauren - Claremont tutor

Personal Description:

I have studied Journalism and am currently studying law while also working full time as a researcher for an international company. I enjoy reading and my happy place is in my journal, writing. I assist university students with proofreading and editing assignments and tutorials prior to submission. In addition I assist companies, independently, with their website wording as well as social media content creation. In my free time I am a natural hair blogger, mother, confidant and always seeking ways to help develop our future generations.

Tutoring Experience:

- grade 10-12 Writing skills
- Grade R and above reading skills

Tutoring Approach:

I use discussion as the basis of my tutoring and allow the student to set the pace. I don't believe in telling but rather explaining and allowing the student to, based on my explanation, figure right from wrong with me holding their hand (figuratively). Because we all learn and grasp in different ways, I do not have a standard teaching technique but much rather prefer enhancing the way in which the student already functions and thinks.
