Personal Description:

I am a person who loves learning and through my life I continued to learning either at work or through educational institutions.
I believe learning widens your horizons and give you an opportunity to experience the world beyond your current situation. It also provides you with another skill, which could open career avenues, or even just to be able to grow as a person or into a different capacity.

Tutoring Experience:

Lately I have been tutoring junior school children in English, helping them with maths (while I am studying) for experience. My goal however is to tutor/teach adults and/or junior school children to help them better their English and Afrikaans.
In my corporate career in operations, I was constantly helping/teaching my colleagues with basic things like how to use the computer better, etc… This natural flair for teaching was recognised and I started to teach employees, from all levels up to senior managers, in the industry's Standard Operating Procedures. This was build out to the extend where I created and presented full day workshops to our clients and/or other companies in our industry. Professionally these covered hygiene in Housekeeping and Laundry Services, as well as Occupational Health and Safety.
Now I want to return to teaching one of learnings cornerstones, namely languages.

Tutoring Approach:

I first wish to know the "student" as person. During the first free "assessment" appointment, I will get to know you and measure your reality - where you currently are in your development. Then we will decide on what the goals are. The tutoring will be tailormade for each student. I will provide feedback throughout.
I believe all learning happens through interesting and enjoyable challenging activities where the material is explored - the curious learns the most effectively.
