Personal Description:

Teaching English is my passion and I love this job :)
I am a 28 year old English teacher who graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree in 2015. I am outgoing and thoroughly enjoy all my lessons with my students; and enjoy learning new things from them as well.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching English for 6 years.at a high school from grades 8 - 12 and also tutoring primary school learners (grades R - 5) for the past 4 years.
I also have 2 Foreign language learners whom I tutor (TEFL experience).
I am in the process of obtaining a formal TEFL certificate as well.

Tutoring Approach:

I love to build an open relationship with my students so that they feel comfortable and ready to learn in a fun and effective way. I love to laugh and find everyday examples to relate my content in a practical way for better understanding.
I like to use a combination of theory and practical work: worksheets/activities on grammar, comprehension and listening skills as well as practical age appropriate games and more fun exercises to enhance vocabulary and conversation skills, depending on each student's needs.
I focus my lessons on being engaging and enjoyable; one cannot learn if they don't enjoy the lesson and feel relaxed :)
