Information About Joel - Bulwer tutor

Personal Description:

I am based in Durban and i have almost finished my final year of teaching. I enjoy music, reading books and having fun.
Based on who i am, alot of it comes through in the way that i teach, I love to use my sense of humour to teach which allows you to feel more comfortable with me. I enjoy my sports which has taught how to start a conversation with literally anyone and i enjoy listening to people which helps my teaching improve as i get to understand what you require and learn from you to adapt the way i teach to the way that you learn.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored various children over the last six years as a means of additional teaching application and practice outside my teaching practicals over the last four years. Clifton Primary School, 2018. Saint Augustine's Primary School, 2019. Penzance Primary School, 2020 and Durban Preparatory High School in 2021. This has allowed me to grow as a teacher and taught me the way that i would want to teach which at my core is to teach surrounding the way people learn, this makes learning easier for you and my teaching alot easier to interpret and understand whilst having fun.

Tutoring Approach:

I enjoy alot of activities for learning which will be fun and interactive. i ask alot of questions based on the content for you, as my learner to be able to answer, I will never ask something that my learners cannot answer, unless i want them to start thinking a little deeper. Alot of emphasis for me is placed on learner-centred learning which makes you as the learner responsible for the learning process. This allows us to go at your speed yet still cover everything that is needed with myself acting as a mediator of knowledge.
