Personal Description:

Hi, my name is Jen. I am a native English and Afrikaans speaker. I am TEFL certified and have a Business Management Diploma. My work experience includes many years of business in-house training of employees, I I love learning new things and find imparting my knowledge to another person a great joy. I hope to inspire students to learn to speak English fluently and accurately, and open a new world to them.

Tutoring Experience:

Training fellow employees in various aspects of business related areas, counselling and helping non-native speakers at work learn to speak English. I have experience in teaching Conversational Skills, Interview skills and Business English.I am an online tutor from November 2024.

Tutoring Approach:

I will guide students, but give lots of opportunity for them to practice speaking and I will give corrections in a supportive way when appropriate. I use content which a student will find interesting and challenging, and encourage them to try their best. Listening to a students concerns and giving feedback on progress is important to me. I am patient and kind with a sense of humour and will get students to relax and enjoy the class knowing that they can be themselves and make mistakes, we will work through it and learn the correct English.
