Personal Description:

I'm a person who enjoys interacting with others. I enjoy meeting and working with a variety of people, and I like to make sure that everything is in order and that I pay attention to every detail. I have an open mind about what will work best, and I enjoy experimenting with different approaches to situations.

Tutoring Experience:

Mind Over Matter scholastic

I was teaching a class of more than ten kids who needed my assistance with grade 12 math exam preparation. Of the ten that I recall were able to pass mathematics with a grade of 70 percent or more at the conclusion of the year, which was a difficult task for any of them.

Tutoring Approach:

Being open to sharing my personal experiences. The student may feel glad that he or she is not alone after hearing about my experiences. Sharing experiences and lessons learnt can help to establish trust and support. It also aids in the development of the student's self-esteem.

Being patient is a virtue. What I consider to be obvious or simple may not be so for the student. I'm working on not expressing my annoyance in my voice or body language.

Being willing to change strategies and approaches to accommodate the student's learning style
