Personal Description:

In 2021, I completed my MEng in Civil Engineering, showcasing my dedication and commitment. My passion lies in problem-solving, exploring alternative solutions, and assisting others. During high school, I mentored my younger brother, aiding him in his studies and project completions. Patience is one of my virtues, and I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with individuals, tailoring teaching methods to suit their needs. Presently, I am thriving as a structural engineer, utilizing my skills to make impactful contributions in the field.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been a demonstrator at Stellenbosch university and helped first year students with a subject called Strength of Materials and Pavement engineering. I was also employed as a teachers assistant in both these subjects.

Tutoring Approach:

Every person requires a different tutoring approach, the approach depends on how the student studies normally. The first step will be to find out what method the student is currently using to study. The second step will be to assess whether or not that method works and if not then determining what the best method of studying is for the student. Different tutoring approaches that I can use, includes learner-centered methods, teacher centered methods, interactive methods and content-focused methods. I also believe that the more you practice the better you become. Exercises and homework is crucial for a student to improve.
