Personal Description:

Currently working at as an Accounting Facilitator lecturing Accounting Technicians Qualifications at Gert Sibande TVET College, Skills Academy Campus.

I am an Assessor registered with FASSET and a Certified Pastel Trainer for Sage Pastel Partner.

I have both teaching experience and work related experience in accounting and finance.

Tutoring Experience:

I have 7 years teaching, lecturing, facilitating and private tutoring experience in my respective subject/course areas. I also have work experience in Accounting and the use of related software (Syspro and Pastel). Apart from Business Studies and Accounting I can also help with Corporate Finance, International Finance, Strategic Management and Investments and Portfolio Management.

Tutoring Approach:

1. Know the 'BASICS'. My first step is for my clients to grasp and understand the basics as these are crucial to understanding any subject. Knowing the basics is half-way to passing. Complex subject areas can be understood by first understanding the underlying basics.

2. Do 'Value Addition'. My other approach is to work on the 'problem areas' as this will increase what you know and understand and therefore giving you more opportunity to pass the exam. There is no point in repeating too much of what you already know and understand except if its revision. Repeating what you already know will not increase your knowledge. Tackling your problem areas adds value to your knowledge.

3. Exam tailored advice. I always teach my clients how to maximise marks on the areas that they really understand so as to cover up for marks in those areas that they are weak (if any). I advise them on time management in the exam.
