Personal Description:
I have taught various grades over the last 30 years. I am enthusiastic about my subjects and love sharing my knowledge. I enjoy working with children and learn something new every day I teach.
Tutoring Experience:
I graduated in 1988 and have taught mainly Afrikaans and art through the years. I recently started teaching history for grade 12 and loved it.
Tutoring Approach:
I try to explain the work in such a way that the leaner learns for the long haul. For history I often ask why something happened and how it could have been done differently. For Afrikaans the approach is different. I try to show patterns in speech and grammar that is easy to understand and remember. My approach to art is based on self development and seeing the world through different eyes.
