Personal Description:

I'm a fourth-year medical student enrolled in a bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery having graduated from Auckland Grammar School where I finished in class 7B in 2020. I have a passion for all sciences and business studies where I excelled in my cambridge results. I'm a patient person who understands what it takes to understand and teach difficult concepts.
I finished my first year of university with a GPA of 9, A+'s in Medsci142, Biosci106, Biosci107, Biosci101 and Chem110 so I am perfectly capable of tutoring those subjects as well.
If you need help with MMI interviews I am capable of tutoring that as well.

Tutoring Experience:

As a tutor, I have several years of experience working with students from different age groups, academic levels, and backgrounds. I have worked with students on a one-on-one basis and in small groups, both in-person and online.

Throughout my tutoring experience, I have taught a wide range of subjects, including biology, chemistry, physics and business studies. I have also helped students prepare for their end of year exams including Cambridge, NCEA and IB. Alongside this, I am experienced in tutoring first year university papers including Biosci107, Medsci142, Chem110 and Pophlth111 as well as helping students prepare for their MMI interviews.

Tutoring Approach:

As a tutor, my approach is student-centered and personalized. I believe that every student has unique strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles that require an individualized approach to teaching. Therefore, I begin by assessing my student's current knowledge and understanding of the subject matter, identifying areas that need improvement, and creating a personalized learning plan that suits their needs.

During our tutoring sessions, I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment that promotes active participation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. I utilize a variety of teaching techniques and resources, such as visual aids, hands-on activities, and real-world examples to make the learning experience fun and effective.

Moreover, I value open communication and feedback, as I believe that it's essential to foster a positive relationship with my students and their families. I encourage my students to ask questions, express their thoughts, and share their concerns, as I believe that these interactions help me understand their learning needs better.
