Personal Description:

Hi there! I am a Geotechnical Engineer who recently graduated with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering at the University of Auckland. I love to explore the realm of science and mathematics, watching physics experiments or mathematical theories whenever I have time, but I also enjoy exercising regularly by going to the gym or playing sports such as badminton and rugby.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been a dedicated tutor for the past seven years, helping over 100 students excel in NCEA Level 2–3 Calculus and Physics. My students consistently improve by at least one grade, often more, depending on the time and effort invested. Many of them have gone on to study at top-ranked institutions worldwide, including Ivy League universities such as Brown University, and QS Top 50 universities like Imperial College London and Boston University, as well as leading New Zealand universities such as the University of Auckland and Otago.

Tutoring Approach:

My tutoring approach is grounded in the belief that genuine understanding, not rote memorization, it is the key to success in mathematics and physics. I focus on helping students build a strong conceptual foundation by identifying and addressing any gaps in their understanding before introducing more advanced topics. When a student struggles with a concept, I break it down into its core building blocks to ensure they grasp the underlying principles. I also strive to make each session as interactive and thought provoking as possible, encouraging students to ask questions, explore ideas, and develop the critical thinking skills that lead to deeper learning and exam success.
