I am Shirley and I am originally from China. I have been a language teacher for more than 10 years. I teach both English and Mandarin, in China and in New Zealand, being a registered teacher in both countries.

My son was a bit worried about having a tutor one-on-one because he is in the shy teen stage. Shirley has obviously dealt with teen awkwardness a lot. She made him feel immediately relaxed by being so confident, friendly and no-nonsense. He said Shirley seems really kind, knowledgeable, easy to interact with and chat to, and has a good sense of humour".
