Personal Description:
I am a third year of pursuing a Bachelor of Advanced Computer Science (Hons) degree at the University of Auckland. In my free time I do long distance running, swimming and social football.
Tutoring Experience:
I tutor two students in year 11 Mathematics to help them prepare for their NCEA and Cambridge examinations. Furthermore, In High school and my first year of University I used to tutor A-level mathematics; my clients showed an overall improvement of 30% in their exams.
Tutoring Approach:
In my sessions, I foster a collaborative and supportive relationship with students. By breaking down complex concepts into easily digestible parts I ensure that students not only grasp the material but also develop a deep understanding that goes beyond rote memorisation. I introduce my students to plan before exams and utilise past exams effectively. I also put a strong reinfocement on practicing problems as my philosophy to succeeding is practice. I also want to establish a friendly relationship with my students so they can feel comfortable asking me questions.
