Personal Description:

Kia Ora! My name is Paola. I am from Ecuador, South America, and have been living in NZ for about 8 years. I am passionate about languages and speak Spanish, English and German. My qualifications include a Business Management Bachelor's Degree from the Catholic University in Ecuador, and a Masters Degree in Development Studies from the Victoria University of Wellington.

I have professional experience in the preparation of relevant documents in Spanish, English and German, as well as translations in those languages at a professional and academic level. I hold a Toefl Certificate (English) and a Sprachdiplom II (German), and I also have studied, worked and lived in English and German-speaking countries, which has helped me improve my language skills and gain a deeper understanding of the cultural aspects associated with learning and communicating in a foreign language.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience in teaching Spanish at different levels (from beginners to advanced), and I have also run a pre-schoolers playgroup in Spanish.
I have tutored/taught Spanish to adults, teenagers and children, so I am more than happy to accommodate to different learning styles and needs.
I am available to hold group or one-to-one Spanish classes online or face-to-face, with a flexible schedule.

Tutoring Approach:

I love using different materials to apply language to real-life situations, so that the student approaches the language in a dynamic way. I like to keep my classes student oriented and include a mixture of methods, such as: conversation, use of topical articles and materials, common interesting literature (depending on the level), songs, games and interactive exercises.
