Personal Description:

I am a mathematics teacher from the UK with more than six years of teaching experience. After qualifying, I taught in England for two years before moving to New Zealand in 2016. Until recently, I have been teaching at Diocesan School for Girls, where I was Assistant Head of Faculty. I am now returning to university to pursue further study and will be continuing to tutor part-time.

Teaching in both the UK and NZ has given me an in-depth knowledge of both the IGCSE and NCEA curriculums. I aim to help students increase their understanding and hence, their enjoyment of maths! In addition, I work with students to prepare for upcoming tests and examinations. I primarily tutor students in Year 7 - 11 and Year 12 Statistics.

Tutoring Experience:

Since qualifying as a teacher, I have tutored many students, ranging in both age and confidence. Some of these students have contacted me through the FirstTutors website and others through the wider school community.

Tutoring Approach:

I support students preparing for exams, topic tests, or students who want to be more confident in mathematics. I aim to raise the attainment, aspirations and confidence of all my students. I do this on a one-to-one basis either in person at your home or online.
