Personal Description:

Enthusiasm, fun and creativity!
My tutoring sessions are focussed on boosting your confidence with genuine input in the language, using correct grammar and idiomatic expressions in the right context. You will learn according to your personal interests, schedule, pace and style.
My results have been excellent and some of my students came first in French in the whole school in their Year Group.
I usually teach from year 7 to year 13 and adults.
I was born in Burgundy, France and lived there over 30 years and 15 years in New Zealand
I worked at Kristin School for four years as a French teacher.

8 years experience in secondary schools in New Zealand and France.
Diploma of Teaching (Auckland University)

Tutoring Approach:

One on one.
I combine strong passion for passing on my language & culture, expertise to motivate and inspire students, creating a fun, enthusiastic, trusting and challenging learning environment.
Last year one of my student came first in the overall International Baccalaureate Year 13 grades in French for the final exams. Can provide reference for this on request.

From Nichola (5/5): Having not studied french all year, my 14 yr old son needed urgent help to pass an end of year school exam in order to be allowed to take french the following year. I contacted Ivan who responded immediately and came to our house to teach him weekly. Ivan is 100% reliable, very enthusiastic and my son really enjoyed his lessons. He passed the exam with flying colours and is allowed to continue french next year so we will continue with the lessons.
