Personal Description:

I’m a first-year university student majoring in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology and Philosophy, and I also study Statistics. I’ve always loved learning and helping others learn, and I’m passionate about making subjects like English and Maths feel more approachable and enjoyable for students. I’m friendly, patient, and flexible, I tutor because I genuinely enjoy seeing students gain confidence in their abilities.

Tutoring Experience:

I gained tutoring experience through my high school, where I helped younger students with both English and Maths. I’ve also done a lot of babysitting for children aged 1 to 13, which has given me great experience in working with different age groups and adapting my communication style to suit each individual child. Through both tutoring and babysitting, I’ve developed strong skills in explaining things clearly and encouraging students to stay motivated and engaged.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is friendly, supportive, and student-centred. I aim to build a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process. I tailor my sessions to each student’s pace and needs, using a mix of explanations, examples, and practice to help them understand key concepts. Whether tutoring online or in person, I aim to make each session interactive and confidence-building. In person, I can meet at locations like local libraries or study rooms in my university hall, as I don’t have transportation for longer travel.
