Personal Description:

I am Eranga an Electrical Engineer with 15 years experience in the field. I graduated from Faculty of Engineering, in Sri Lanka. I studied Mathematics for my secondary education and entered to the university based on that qualification. currently, I am working as a senior engineer in the Transpower, New Zealand.

Tutoring Experience:

I have conducted maths classes for 5 years period for the students studying from grade 6 to grade 11 and Advance level students who studied Mathematics. Further, I have worked as a part time lecturer in CINEC university in Sri Lanka for 3 years.

Tutoring Approach:

Most important thing is to identify the competency level of the student and his interest on the subject. First we need to make the interest on the subject. Tutoring is to be done such that students help themselves, so they become confident, independent learners by teaching the concepts of the subject. Whole tutoring period will be structured enabling time adequate time for discussion, questions and guidance. There is also typically time set aside for reviewing the previous week’s topic, as well as any homework set. In summary, goal setting, questioning, multi media tools and using practical examples are approach for perfect tutoring.
