Personal Description:

Being both focused and balanced is essential. When choosing math and physics as my subjects, I also needed English and design; when I get a crack on a hard math question, it is essential that I know I would still enjoy a hot summer surf down at Muriwai. Balance allows me to focus, and become skilled at what I am doing.

Tutoring Experience:

Previously requested my school, King's College, to tutor some fellow students, and that was where I started. I lived in a boarding house, so helping out others with difficult concepts and questions becomes natural for me, and me getting help myself from others was an everyday activity, especially before exams. My informal teaching experience starts when I set foot at King's since Y11, and over time I have grown to love the experience and always try my best to assist other students

Tutoring Approach:

Let's be honest: studying is hard; and at the end of the day, the success of your study is measured by the score on your exam papers. I think it is crucial first to understand the learning criteria of your subject and then adding your own interpretations to make it easier to use for yourself.

And this is what I am here for.

I will be assisting your own learning in the subject and help you figure out what you learned and what you need to learn. Clarifying this will help you see what is going on and making it more comfortable for you. I believe it takes the commitment from both you and me to make a change in your learning, and with you on board, hopefully, I can make this studying exciting and fun for you.
