Personal Description:

I am a native French speaker and i speak English fluently, too. I have been living in NZ for 17 years. i currently live in Rotorua.

Tutoring Experience:

I am a qualified secondary school teacher, trained in the UK, where i taught for two years before moving to New Zealand. I have been a private French tutor for 19 years, with high school students from years 7 to 13, with adult learners from beginner to advanced. I have also run my own beginner classes in the community.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to meet my students first before starting teaching, speaking French and English if needed. We can exchange on where the student is at and i can get an idea of what we need to do to start with. I always listen carefully to my students, encourage them on their strong points and pick up, without telling them, on the aspects they need to work on to improve. I adapt my teaching to each individual along these lines. I am also open to help for specific tasks and points that my students express. French is the main language during tutoring sessions at all levels, I use English if necessary. I am friendly, supportive and with a good touch of humour.
