Personal Description:
I am an experienced Language Tutor (especially in Italian, and English as a secondary language) with a huge passion about teaching.
I can teach you all about my home country, Italy: its language, music, fine arts, poetry, cinema, hidden gems… I can teach English at all levels, including literature.
I've translated lots of books from English into Italian, especially fiction and poetry from Aotearoa!
In 2022 I have been a recipient of the Tutor's Excellence Award, Victoria University of Wellington
Tutoring Experience:
I am tutoring part time at Victoria University, Wellington and at Circolo Italiano, Wellington.
Also, I have done lots of private tutoring in Italian for children, adult students, business men and staff from MFAT travelling to Italy.
I've taught English at high schools for 15 years and tutored at Queen Margaret College and Scots College within their international programs.
I have tutored a number of high school students about NCEA programs in English, History and Classics.
Tutoring Approach:
I like to have friendly classes, full of fun and interest.
we can use either books, magazines, videos, or just talk over a cup of cappuccino.
I can meet you downtown in Wellington or on Kelburn Campus.
I think I'm learning more and more from any new friend I make, from each one of my students… I mean, you never end learning new things in life, don't you?
