Personal Description:

Hi! I’m Yu Hua, I completed my BSc in Human Health and Disease at Trinity College Dublin before working as a research technician for one year in a developmental biology lab at the University of Cambridge. Currently, I am completing my MSc in Reproductive and Developmental Biology at Imperial College London. I attended an all Irish speaking secondary school and thus am fluent in Irish. I received an A in my Junior Cert and a H1 in my Leaving Cert, while also sitting the TEG B2 exam during transition year.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience teaching Irish to Leaving Cert, Junior Cert, primary school and casual learner students. I also have experience conducting mock Irish orals to Leaving Cert students preparing for state exams. In biology, I have experience predominantly giving Leaving Cert grinds.

Approach to Grinds:

I like to approach tutoring sessions differently based on the needs of the student and what they’d like to improve most on and how they learn best. It is important to me that students feel they are in an environment where they feel comfortable asking questions. I tend to ask questions during sessions, not to scare you or intimidate, but to ensure full understanding of key concepts.
