Personal Description:

I hold a 2.1 degree in French and Spanish from University College Dublin.
I consider myself to have a warm and approachable presence, with a keen interest in young people and how to help them reach their full potential and simply achieve their best.
I have lived in France throughout various periods of my life and speak the language fluently since the age of 16 so I can also offer help with pronunciation as well as fostering a general appreciation for francophone culture.

Tutoring Experience:

I have 12 years experience as a French teacher, having taught both Junior and Leaving Certifica**Contact Detail Removed**vels in various schools and given private grinds classes. I can offer assistance in any area in which students may be struggling – grammar, vocabulary, written expression, listening etc. This summer, I worked as an Examiner for the Junior Certificate French Examinations. I corrected approximately 300 papers from students all over the country. This gave me invaluable insight into what is required to gain top marks in the paper and what examiners are looking for.

Approach to Grinds:

My initial priority would be getting to know the student and where they may need assistance and then focusing on building confidence in these areas- be it grammar, pronunciation, aural, written expression or any other area which they find challenging.
