Information About Rosie - Enniskerry tutor

Personal Description:

My name is Rosie, I’m in my 3rd year of graduate medicine and have a degree in biomedical science.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been giving junior cert and leaving cert grinds for the last 7 years and have watched my students improve and excel.

Approach to Grinds:

I would always drive to my student’s home to give the maths grind pre-pandemic, which would be an option again now if a student was local enough. I had to adapt with zoom during the pandemic but found it actually worked very well, the sessions were still very interactive with the whiteboard and screenshots of questions, and very convenient for the student as zoom meant I could be very flexible with scheduling not having to drive. Usually in the grind I try to be very exam focused, we would cover whatever they do that week in school to clear up any confusion and then work through exam questions to get the student familiar with how that topic would present in a paper. Some maths books over complicate some topics in my opinion so I really try to make it clear what the student should focus on.
