Personal Description:

¡Hola!

My name is Patricia and I was born in Spain, Madrid. Now I am a young university teacher with a Bachelor Degree in Translation and Interpreting, a Master Degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language and I am a DELE examiner (levels from A1 to C2).

I have been working abroad as a Spanish teacher for more than 6 years, I love travelling and living in different places but above all, I am passionate about my job.

I consider myself a friendly, patient, and enthusiastic person and as I love meeting new people, I love teaching students from all ages, nationalities and backgrounds.

Tutoring Experience:

Once I finished my Masters, I had the great opportunity to work at Instituto Cervantes in Germany teaching both adults and kids.

Then, I started working at university level teaching Spanish -language, grammar, translation and conversation classes- in prestigious universities in Ireland and Scotland.

Furthermore, I have been teaching Spanish as a private tutor for five years offering one-to-one classes in which I customised my lessons to their needs, covering all levels from Beginners to Experts and from kids to adults.

Approach to Grinds:

I try to follow the Communicative method, giving my students the opportunity to put into practice the 4 main areas together: listening, writing, reading and speaking.

In order to engage my students, I usually choose current topics which could be interested to them but I always adapt my classes to their learning needs. I am totally aware that not everyone learns the same way and most important, making mistakes is part of the learning process.

As a tutor, I always try my best to create a good atmosphere in class giving my students self-confidence and we definitely have fun.
