Information About Orla - Sallins tutor

Personal Description:

Hi! I’m Orla. I’m from Clare but teaching and living in Kildare the last 6 years. I studied Irish and Geography in college and have been teaching both ever since. I have a passion for the Irish language and love to instil this passion in the classroom. I love travelling, GAA and fashion. I have been giving grinds both in person and online, helping students with different capabilities. Whether you want a H1, or are struggling at JC level, I work well with all students.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching both Irish and Geography for the last 8 years. I teach Geography to 1st, 2nd and 3rd year. I teach Irish to all years to all years, up to and including higher level 5th/6th. Each year my students get excellent results in their state JC and LC exams. I an honest and motivated teacher and put my students needs first always.

Approach to Grinds:

The grinds I offer are designed to cater to the specific learning style and pace of the student. I spend time at the beginning assessing the students strengths and weaknesses and I tailor my teaching methods accordingly. I focus on exam preparation, on core examinable material and exam techniques. We work through past papers, practicing exam-style questions, and develop strategies for answering different types of questions. I help students with their confidence in the subject, and help develop a positive attitude to their work.
