Personal Description:

I am a German, Irish and Religion teacher to higher level Leaving Certificate students for the past 23 years(and common level German for Junior Cert). I am teaching in my school since 2003. I absolutely love my job and my results speak for themselves. I am a patient, kind and understanding teacher with great emphasis on all aspects of the German paper especially the Grammar and Oral component of the paper. I am a Leaving Certificate Oral German Examiner and I have corrected many mock and State exams over the years. I have a passion and enthusiasm for German and travel regularly to Germany, Austria and Switzerland. I love languages and Geography.

Tutoring Experience:

I am teaching 23 years in the same school which i absolutely love. I teach German, Irish and religion to all levels and years. My results speak for themselves and convey my dedication and commitment to my subjects. I also teach English as a foreign language in Spain.

Approach to Grinds:

I tailor each grind to the individual student, I use a simple approach so it is student friendly with simplified notes for grammar, comprehensions and aural vocabulary. I provide sample blogs for Junior Cert German and sample letters and theme material for Leaving Cert German. I provide all the necessary oral notes for the German oral and provide mock orals. I provide excellent sample oral answers using higher level vocab and phrases and simple sentence structure to ensure students achieve the best in their exams and are fully prepared. Students can feel very overwhelmed and I understand this, so I make sure i prepare them 100% and take the stress out of the subject so the student will strive to obtain their best grade.
