Personal Description:

I am originally British, but I have been living in Ireland for 15 years, and in Limerick for 12 years, happily married to an Irish lady and with two children in National School. As well as teaching English, I give instrumental tuition privately, mostly on piano and guitar. I love to bring music into the English classroom when I can!

Tutoring Experience:

I am a CELTA-qualified teacher of English, and have been teaching with the University of Limerick Language Centre since 2008. I have experience teaching all ages, teaching English for Academic Purposes (preparing to go to University), teaching Business English, and General English. I can help you prepare to sit the IELTS exam for work, for study, or for life!

Approach to Grinds:

Learning has to be about you. It will certainly include grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, reading, writing, speaking and listening. However, it has to be about your subject, your interests and your life. I want to help you to learn, to understand the language, and to use it clearly and confidently.
