Personal Description:

I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and a Masters in Local History. I have also taught geography to junior cycle secondary school students. I am passionate about history and geography and through my teaching experience I understand that every student learns differently. Sessions for Junior Cycle students are €20 an hour and €25 an hour for Senior Cycle students. I have a wide range of knowledge of the History Leaving Certificate Course having taught history to Leaving Certificate students from February to June 2012 while completing my Professional Diploma in Education and would be willing to help students particularly in completing the project stage of the course.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a Professional Diploma in Education (formerly Higher Diploma in Education) and have taught both history and geography to secondary school students. I have also had the opportunity to work with a history teacher with 30 years experience of both Junior and Leaving Certificate history, which has given me valuable insight and knowledge into the teaching of this subject.

Approach to Grinds:

I would first like to know what it is the student requires help and understanding with in either history and or geography. I can help with homework assignments and prepare for examinations by revising past examination papers. I also would hope that each student gains a proper understanding of the material they wish to cover at a pace that is suitable for them.
