Personal Description:

Hi! I'm Maria, a dedicated teacher with a passion for helping students reach their full potential. I studied at Dublin city university where I obtained a first class honours in my bachelor of science degree in physical education and biology teaching.

Tutoring Experience:

Qualifying in 2023, I have two years experience. In addition to this, I have completed multiple placement blocks in which I have been exposed to a range of different classroom settings.
During my studying years and continuing on into my professional career I have completed both individual and group grinds sessions in my subject areas. In addition I have worked with the State Exam Commission in the correcting process at Junior Cycle.

Approach to Grinds:

Approach to the way in which the grinds are delivered will be depending on the needs and requirement for each individual student. My focus initially will be to gain an overview through feedback from the student and then direct a plan based on the students needs. Overall, the importance will be put on creating a mastery climate where the student will be guided based on their individual ability.
Often times students tend to find the exam questioning their biggest complexity so for me analysing the exam structure, past exam papers and exam style answering would be at the forefront of ensuring the student feels confident going in to their exam.
