Information About Lucy - Dublin tutor

Personal Description:

My name is Lucy and I have been teaching leaving cert biology and junior cycle science for 8 years now. I have made my own notes to help students with leaving cert biology. These notes essentially trim down the course to exactly what students need to know, as the book can be overwhelming with a lot of information that is not needed. I have helped students who are struggling in the past achieve their desired grade in biology by focussing on key areas and helping them learn to answer questions in these areas very well. I am also a science and biology examiner, having a lot of experience in how the marking process works.

Tutoring Experience:

8 years teaching in a secondary school in Dublin. Experience in giving private grinds.

Approach to Grinds:

I am a very friendly and approachable person who seeks to get the best out of individual students. I like to cater for individual students needs and will change my approach depending on what will suit them best. I will always work from printed notes and powerpoints as a resource for students. Depending on the year , 3rd or 6th year, my approach would be entirely exam focussed, using exam questions as the basis for study.
