Personal Description:

I am currently a fully registered Music teacher in Scotland (verified) and Republic of Ireland (to be updated when GTCS certificate is sent to the Teaching Council Ireland). I have completed my PME with NUI Galway in 2018 and also hold a BMus from Maynooth University since 2016. I am available (whenever possible) to provide online lessons for Music (all levels) and some Gaeilge lessons as well via Zoom or Skype. I am current working in Scotland, UK teaching Music full time. Tutoring Experience:

I have had two full year of Professional Placement in a post-primary school environment as part of my masters degree and have also completed one full year in teaching Music in Scotland. I also have carried out a small stint of work experience in a Primary School environment during my time as a post-primary student. I have also worked professionally in a summer school with Atlantic Language Galway as an activity leader in 2017.

Currently since 2018, I have been teaching post-primary Music in Scotland. I have now experience teaching old and new Junior Cycle Music and Senior Cycle Music (Republic of Ireland) and BGE and Senior Phase Music [up to Advanced Higher Level] (Scotland).

Approach to Grinds:

Due to being located outwith Ireland as I am working as a teacher in Scotland as of 2018, I can only provide online grinds via Skype or Zoom (no preference). In terms of approach, I ensure that each pupils is catering for their learning needs with effective resources and materials used. For those who learn with the use of textbooks, I can break down the material provided and utilise the information into the pupils work. I also provided effective studying and exam techniques to ensure that the pupil is confident in their ability, knowledge and work ethic.
