Personal Description:
I graduated from UCC with a joint Honours Degree in French and Spanish in 1989. Following graduation, I was selected to take part in the assistantship programme with the Academy of Lille in Northern France and spent 1998/1999 teaching in a French lycée in Maubeuge. On returning to Ireland, I qualified as a secondary school teacher with an Honours HDip in Education.
Passionate about learning and teaching languages, I have devoted my life’s work to teaching French and Spanish in the Irish education system.
Tutoring Experience:
I taught for 3 years in a secondary school (1991-1994) before joining the largest college of further education in Ireland in 1994. I am experienced in teaching to all levels - primary, secondary and third level.
Approach to Grinds:
My approach is based on an assessment of individual needs and identifying the most adapted method to achieve the desired progress at every level.
