Information About Darragh - Swords tutor

Personal Description:

Darragh is ainm dom. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Irish and Music, a Higher Diploma in Education (Primary), and a Master of Education. I'm fully registered with the Teaching Council and my vetting was renewed in February 2024.

I'm based in Swords, Co. Dublin and I offer Irish grinds online to adults. I also offer grinds to primary school children and will travel a reasonable distance to the child's home to conduct lessons. Primary school children can avail of either Irish grinds, general tuition or general homework help.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been working as a Primary School Teacher since 2009 and I have experience in the junior classes, the senior classes and as a Special Education Teacher. I have substantial experience giving grinds, mainly to adults pursuing the SCG or OCG qualification. I also have some experience giving Irish grinds to primary school children.

Approach to Grinds:

Every person who engages in grinds with me will receive an approach completely tailored to their individual needs. In terms of adults seeking assistance with Irish for the OCG/SCG, I will assess their current ability and learning needs and deliver lessons according to this. Primary school children will go through a different approach. After a consultation with parents/guardians and with the child, together we will devise an approach that best suits the child's personality and learning needs. Following this we will focus either on Irish, general tuition or on general homework help.
