Personal Description:
I am a qualified primary school teacher and am currently working in the Maynooth area.
Tutoring Experience:
I have six years of teaching experience. I have worked with children with a diversity of learning needs including English as a Second Language(ESL), autism and dyslexia. I have undertaken a variety of courses including Sensory Processing, Behavioural Management, Positive Psychology and Applied Behavioural Analysis(ABA). I have completed training to become a Dyslexia Tutor with the Dyslexia Association of Ireland. I also have worked with children with severe to profound difficulties in a home setting. I have recently completed a Masters in Psychology and am currently working as an Assistant Educational Psychologist for third level students.
Approach to Grinds:
Grinds are focused upon catering for the individual needs of the child so as to allow them to reach their full potential.
A variety of methodologies, resources and activities will be used to facilitate this.
I aim to focus on developing self-awareness and enabling self-directed learning in order to achieve consistent and sustainable progress
