Personal Description:
I am currently a fourth-year business student at Technological University Dublin (TUD) and will be beginning my Master's in Teaching in Business and Accounting this September in the University of Limerick (UL). My journey in education has led me to work in a secondary school, where I teach various subjects, and I also frequently substitute in primary schools. My goal as an educator is to create learning experiences that are both intuitive and engaging, ensuring that my students are best prepared to achieve the results they aspire to in their exams.
I have a deep passion for the subjects I teach, which motivates me to continuously seek out new knowledge and improve my teaching practices. This commitment to personal growth not only benefits my education but also enriches the learning experiences I provide to my students.
Through my dedication to fostering a positive and motivating learning environment, I strive to empower my students to excel academically while developing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Tutoring Experience:
I have gained valuable teaching experience working in a secondary school, where I manage full classes and provide instruction across various subjects. In addition to my classroom teaching, I also conduct one-on-one lessons with students. This personalized approach allows me to tailor my teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of each student, ensuring that they receive the support necessary to excel academically.
In the classroom, I emphasize interactive and engaging learning methods, aiming to create a positive atmosphere that encourages student participation and critical thinking. By incorporating a variety of teaching techniques, I strive to make complex concepts more accessible and relatable for my students.
Through my one-on-one sessions, I focus on areas where students may need additional help or clarification, allowing for deeper understanding and improved performance in their studies. This personalized instruction not only helps students build confidence in their abilities but also fosters a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom.
Overall, my experience in both full-class settings and one-on-one lessons has equipped me with diverse teaching skills, enabling me to effectively address the varying learning styles and needs of my students
Approach to Grinds:
In my approach to grinds, I begin with a comprehensive assessment to tailor a personalized learning plan that addresses each student's unique needs and goals. I emphasize interactive learning methods to engage students actively, using discussions and real-world examples to reinforce key concepts. Continuous feedback allows me to adapt sessions based on their progress and understanding. Additionally, I teach essential study skills and exam strategies to equip students with the tools needed for success. Ultimately, my goal is to enhance academic performance while instilling confidence and a love for learning in each student.
