Personal Description:

As a Data Scientist and former research fellow with a PhD in Theoretical Physics from Trinity College, education has always been at the heart of my professional journey. I'm deeply passionate about teaching and tutoring, finding fulfillment in sharing my love for mathematics, statistics, and science with others. My approach to tutoring is guided by patience and empathy, recognizing the importance of fostering trust and establishing meaningful personal connections with my students. I firmly believe that cultivating these relationships is fundamental to unlocking their full potential and fostering successful academic growth.

Tutoring Experience:

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of guiding and mentoring over 200 individuals from diverse backgrounds and educational levels. My tutelage has encompassed a wide spectrum, spanning secondary school students, college and university scholars, as well as casual learners. Moreover, I've held role of instructor for four university modules, in addition to designing and delivering numerous technical and soft-skills courses tailored for corporate environments.

Embarking on the journey of mastering mathematics can be daunting, but let me assure you, struggling with it doesn't equate to being inherently incapable. More often than not, it's a consequence of inadequate guidance.

In my approach to student teaching and tutoring, I prioritize the establishment of a solid foundation built on trust and understanding between myself and the student. Through years of experience, I've come to recognize that attempting to enforce a singular teaching method onto diverse minds often leads to frustration and ultimately, failure. Instead, I firmly believe in acknowledging and embracing the unique learning paths of each individual. By identifying and leveraging their strengths, I tailor my teaching to suit their needs, ensuring a personalized and effective learning experience.

My ultimate goal is not merely to facilitate the mechanical solving of exercises, but to instill a profound understanding of the core concepts. To achieve this, I employ a versatile array of tools and resources, ranging from traditional pen-and-paper methods (facilitated through an online whiteboard) to cutting-edge technology such as mathematical and statistical software, online simulations, and even coding exercises. Following each session, I provide comprehensive lecture notes in PDF format, enabling the student to reinforce their learning at their own pace.

With this approach, I aim to empower my students to delve deeply into the heart of mathematical principles, equipping them with the confidence and skills necessary to conquer any challenge that comes their way.
