Personal Description:

Hi, I'm Ahana, and I have nearly 3 years of tutoring experience, and am always delighted to help other students achieve their goals. I'm a 3rd year Environmental Engineering student in Trinity College Dublin. I am very experienced in teaching Maths, English and Essay Writing skills. My goal is to use a student first approach to devise a method of learning that is best suited to you; not everything works for everyone, and that's fine! I believe that any student can be a good student, they just need the right approach best suited to them!

Tutoring Experience:

I have 3+ years experience in teaching English at a Junior and Senior Cycle level. My specialties are in essay writing, text analysis and reading comprehensions. I also have one year of experience in teaching Junior and Leaving Certificate Maths, with a specialty in algebra and calculus.

Approach to Grinds:

My approach is to focus on a student's study methods and build on skills they already have to improve their overall performance. This can be through analysing weaker areas and providing tips and corrections. I believe one of the best methods is through practical learning, so I place emphasis on past exam papers and sample questions, which allows a student to familiarise themselves with writing exam-style questions, and not be scared of them! Above all, the goal is to support the student in all possible ways so they can achieve their desired results!
