Personal Description:
UK-qualified lawyer/university lecturer with wide-ranging experience in practice and academia. Former City solicitor and emerging markets consultant specialising predominantly in corporate/commercial transactional and advisory work.
Tuition Experience:
Law modules on GDL, LLB, LPC, LLM & MSc in full-time, part-time or online mode. Accountancy, finance and other professional courses with compulsory law modules. QLTS coaching, training contract advice and general tertiary education consultancy.
Tutoring Approach:
Every student is different. I believe in building a personal rapport with all of my tutees, using individually-tailored strategies to encourage critical thinking and learning.
I am both personally and professionally motivated to pursue and disseminate knowledge according to the highest principles of academic integrity and intellectual honesty.
Traditional approach focussed on knowledge and application. No job too small, so whether you are looking for help with coursework or assignments, exam technique and revision strategies, or longer term arrangements - please ask.
With last-minute requests and close deadlines, I may not always be able to accommodate. No harm in asking though. If I can accommodate, please be aware that a premium may be charged in addition to my advertised rate.

From Ss (/5): I would highly highly recommend Walter for anyone seeking a law tutor. While perhaps you may find cheaper alternatives, I found his services to be excellent value for money. I also doubt that it would be possible to find a more knowledgeable and caring tutor who, not only knows the material inside and out but, also understands how to help a student grow, and understand the material, whilst developing their own voice. Quite simply the best tutor I've come across, who helped me get a 1st class law degree with his support and guidance!

However, since my lessons with Sir have started, I have excelled beyond my expectations in both exams and coursework. Take comfort from the fact that, having achieved what you did this year in relative isolation, how much more you will be capable of in Year 2 when you’re back in the classroom!

From Tanya (/5): Walter was a great help in preparing for my CAT analysis exam. He sat down and went through everything with a fine toothcomb with me. All my questions were answered and there was nothing which was too much trouble. Walter went through my notes for my exam twice and gave feedback with little things to add and even found useful articles for me to read over and better my understanding of the case. Would highly recommend Walter to anyone struggling with an exam.

He went beyond what I expected of a tutor; not only did he provide me with invaluable information on the legal issues in our Skype sessions, but he also edited and made notes on my final essay about how it can improved. He also e-mailed me a list of legal issues so that I had a solid basis from which to start my assignment.
