Information about Kwok Chung - Brisbane tutor

Personal Description:

After graduating from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Mathematics degree in 2012, I started my career as a private math tutor in Hong Kong. Instead of being a typical school teacher, I prefer to teach students according to their own abilities. I can teach them in a more flexible way that is tailor made for each individual student. I have helped students not only improve their math exam results, but also help them to reach their potential and prove their academic excellence.

After working as a full-time private math tutor for few years, I was invited to join a large overseas education centre as a part time math tutor. Besides the local education system, I also began to teach a wide range of curricula, including UKiset, Common Entrance exam, IGCSE, A Levels, Sat, AP, IB MYP and IB DP. These enriched my teaching skills and experiences, as well as my understanding of these exams.

Along with teaching primary and secondary school students, I also teach university students. Although it is more challenging, I found that I am capable and eager to learn more. I then decided to pursue my master degree in Australia beginning from January 2023. My academic results were excellent and the knowledge I gained have been immensely useful in teaching my own students.

Many of my students throughout the years have been admitted into prestigious boarding schools such as Eton, Tonbridge and Sevenoak School, as well as top universities such as HKU, HKUST, UNSW, Princeton and Stanford. I am glad that most of my students have found their own paths while continuing to enjoy mathematics.

Tuition Experience:

I became a part-time mathematics tutor since 2009, while I was still a high school student. I started tutor lower secondary school students’ math and found that I love being a teacher and share my skills and knowledges with them.

After I graduated from university in 2012, I continued my tutor job as my full-time career. I got more and more students and I was happy to help with their studies and also their succeed. In 2016, I was invited to ARCH education, a famous and a large-scale education centre in Hong Kong, as a private mathematics tutor. At ARCH, I started tutor students from all over the world, which studied different kinds of curricula. I gained my experiences in teaching UKiset, Common Entrance Exam, IGCSE, A Levels, IB MYP, IB DP, SSAT, SAT, ACT and AP. At the meantime, I had a chance to teach in a group class and teach online, these also enrich my teaching experiences. I also participated in making of the teaching materials such as IB notes and mock exam papers. With cooperated with the college admission counsellor, I became more familiar with the exams and admissions system. I left ARCH in 2020 and then I cooperated with other education centres: Foundation Education and LINKEDU Overseas Education. At the same time, I continued my own tutoring work, and I have almost 14 years experiences in tutoring until now. I have been tutoring more than 100 students, from primary school to university. I am so proud most of them got excellent results in public exam, as well as a significant improvement in mathematics.
