Personal Description:

I'm a fully qualified teacher of 30 years who loves to read, paint and volunteer in a number of organisations. I am married and have a family of four adult children and three young grandchildren all who live close by. I have 8 years of tutoring experience so l understand the importance of the tutor/child relationship which is much more relaxed and nurturing than the classroom teaching experience.

Tuition Experience:

I'm a highly experienced Primary School teacher with specific Special Education qualifications and experience.
I have extensive expertise teaching students with learning difficulties across Years K-4. I'm also a fully qualified Reading Recovery teacher and this training has really enhanced the effectiveness of my teaching practice.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in a relaxed, nurturing and fun aporoach when children are learning new skills. This approach is paramount when establishing learning self confidence in each child l tutor. I use games and lots of teaching resources to engage your child and always focus on 'the known' and then move to the 'unknown' while confidence is buzzing! Positive tutor/child/parent relationships are what really matter to me!
It gives me so much pleasure to see my students moving forward, feeling on top of the game and loving school again!
