Information about Stephanie - Wembley tutor

Personal Description:

Stephanie is a tutor of Latin and Philosophy.

Stephanie's career history has taken her from being a Latin scholar at school to a philosophy and theology student at university (gaining High Distinctions in ancient languages: Ancient Greek and Ancient Hebrew). From there, she went on to qualify and work as a corporate finance lawyer in the City of London, and now is a senior adviser in Knowledge Management and a legal research consultant in a leading Australian law firm.

Stephanie is part way studying for a Master of Education at the University of Western Australia, and deepening her knowledge of Ancient Languages by studying Latin Language and Literature with the Continuing Education Department at the University of Oxford.

Tuition Experience:

With education experience stretching over 20 years, Stephanie has worked with children on literacy schemes and reading partnerships and has contributed to the Education Sector in roles of governance in the area of Teaching and Learning.

Stephanie has been tutoring Latin to senior school students and mature age students since November 2023.

Tutoring Approach:

Stephanie is passionate about the cognitive benefits of learning Latin and enjoys sharing this love of Latin with her students. She brings a fresh perspective in showing the relevance and aliveness of this ancient language, making the learning journey relatable and fun.

Stephanie guides her students through Classical texts and enjoys helping her students deepen their appreciation of the modern world through allegory, myth, legend and ancient philosophy.
